The best classes: 22 – 26 of July!

Fitness fiends, it’s mid-July and the city is coming alive. We’ve collated a run-down of classes this week to take you out of your comfort zone. From yoga to HIIT, barre to bodyweight; everything laid out for you to keep nice and fit.

Monday 20th July – Shane’s Lunchtime Express – 13:30 – 14:00

https://bua.fit/class/fpwmrqj96YxzLive & Online CHOO CHOO COMING THROUGH. Break up the Monday mayhem with a HIIT power lunchtime class to get you grooving and moving. It is a bodyweight bash, but you’re welcome to pick up the barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells or baked bean tins to push yourself further.   Trainer Shane Campbell’s background is in the poetic art of punching. As a pro MMA fighter and kickboxing coach his HIIT classes compliment the cardio needed to be box fit. The class welcomes boxers and non-boxers, beginners and athletes.

Tuesday 21st July – Rise & Shine Yoga – 07:45 - 08:45

She lives by yoga pioneer, Desikachar’s mantra, “The success of yoga does not lie in the ability to perform postures, but in how it positively changes the way we live our life and our relationships.” She is specially trained in treating depression with yoga, and yoga for runners. Wednesday 22nd July – Barre – 18:30 – 19:30

https://bua.fit/class/A32LYqzpvWzJOld Billingsgate Walk Who doesn’t want the bod and elegance of a ballerina? It’s time to get your barre on whilst overlooking the Thames. This class will transform your posture and the way you move. It’s low impact but will boost your strength. It’s beginner friendly but will test your flexibility and core. Barre is renowned for the speed at which it tones.    Trainer Maxine trained in ballet from the age of 4. She fell in love with its motions and has been promoting its use ever since. Her balance and grace will have you memorized.

Thursday 23rd July – Yoga For Runners – 13:00 - 13:40

A session to keep you injury free, that’ll loosen any tight spots, strengthen weak ones and rehabilitate those niggles.   Trainer Lucy Lock is an international yoga teacher having taught in India, Nepal, the Maldives, Philippines Guatemala, and California. Now firmly putting her roots down in London, she’s here to showcase what’s yoga hot the world over.

Friday 24th July – Hatha Vinyasa Flow – 09:00 – 10:00

We lose our keys, shoes, our minds. Come grab a slice of peace in the great outdoors as we drain our anxieties and focus on moving our limbs.   Trainer Larissa Viana is a yoga teacher and Reiki practitioner. A dynamo in practicing peace and togetherness. She believes in the affirmative power of yoga and getting into the state of just ‘not doing’ and sinking into it. Sometimes we need to flick off our switch and practice the polar opposite of activity, which is receptivity.

Saturday 25th July – Saturday Bamboo Flow – 10:30 – 11:30

https://bua.fit/class/ej0DzGimPUbtTooting Bec Lido Bamboo flow is a unique class curated by Earl Cottrell. Hailed as the ‘best class in the world’ by its followers you will keep coming back for more. Addictive because it’s transformative. Combining the best in bodyweight, stretch, yoga and mobility movements. A session to relive chronic back, neck, and joint pain. The aim of the game is to improve posture, increase flexibility and strength, whilst reducing stress.  Trainer Earl Cottrell is a law unto himself. In a former life he played professional Australian football, now he is a well respected and coveted PT in London with a huge following.

Sunday 26th July – Vinyasa Flow – 12:00 – 13:00

If you feel out of sorts, and not all there, this session will bring you back into your own body. A real grounding.
