We’ve all spent a lot of time indoors over the past couple of years. From not being allowed out in big groups, to living room workouts, watching YouTube. It’s been a frustrating time. So, it’s more important than ever to enjoy the great outdoors with friends, old and new, in our quest to get, or keep, healthy and fit!

fitness classes better than working out on my own? We hear you, and we’ve

If you’re working out by yourself, it’s easy to quit
when the going gets tough. If you’re working out with a group of friends, or
classmates, you’ll find yourself pushing
harder to not be the only person that’s stopped mid-workout.

A study done in 2016 found that overweight
people burnt way more calories if they spent more time with healthier friends
that exercise. The more time they spent together, the more weight they lost. And this is only one of many reasons why it’s
great to get fit as part of a group!

When you’re joining a group fitness class, you won’t
want to let friends down by not turning up. A
recent study found that 95% of people who started a weight loss
regime alongside friends completed the challenge. Out of those who took it on
alone, only 76% finished it. The friend group who worked out together were also
42% more likely to maintain their weight loss.
