Let’s be honest - we’ve been stuck at home for over three months, with
less ways than usual to burn calories. We’ve all been there. We’ve been
trying to find certain….home workouts, that might burn more calories
than we’d expect.

So who knows...we may soon see a spike in
pregnancies, with babies conceived during the lockdown period. With
restrictions easing, there are plenty of workouts that expectant mums
can partake in to keep in great shape throughout the pregnancy. There’s
also some guidelines which will help your pregnancy flow smoothly:
Stay on your feet
The
fitter and more active you stay during your pregnancy, the easier it’ll
be to cope with your labour, and get back into shape after you’ve given
birth.
Just keep swimming
The NHS
advise pregnant ladies to keep up their usual physical activity regime -
this can include swimming, running, walking, yoga, or even dancing!
With classes including yoga, running and dance, we’ve got you covered.
Healthy lifestyle = happy pregnancy
Whilst
old wives tales may scare you into thinking that exercising may harm
your baby, this is 100% not the case. In fact, studies have been done to
show that active women are less likely to experience problems
throughout the pregnancy.
Just 30 minutes a day
NHS
advice is to work out for 30 minutes a day whilst pregnant - this could
be a 30 minute walk, some Pregnancy Yoga, or even some meditation, to
relax your body, mind and soul.
Drop it like it’s hot
When
the sun’s out, it’s important that you take on ample fluids, as well as
steering clear of any exercise that is too strenuous.
At Bua Fit, we’ve got you in mind. Whether you’re trying for your first child and want to stay in shape, or you’re ready to pop out your third, there’s a class for you. You can book a suitable prenatal class here.
As always, stay fit and healthy.
